The people behind June’s conversation
For June 2026 Product Conversations, we invited Gibson Biddle, Ravi Mehta and Oyama Nzan to connect product strategy, leadership and the emerging possibilities of AI-powered innovation. This feature introduces the experience behind their invitations and the value of their complementary perspectives for Pinnacle’s audience.
We selected this line-up to connect the enduring discipline of product strategy with the leadership and innovation choices emerging in the AI era. Gibson’s business-case perspective complemented Ravi’s focus on strategic adaptation and effective teams. Oyama added a perspective on accelerating innovation, turning ideas into viable businesses and preparing people for new kinds of work.

Gibson Biddle
Former VP of Product at Netflix · Former Chief Product Officer at Chegg
The experience behind the invitation
Gibson Biddle previously served as VP of Product at Netflix and Chief Product Officer at Chegg. His teaching uses real business cases to make product strategy tangible, connecting customer needs, differentiation and commercial choices. His approach gives product practitioners a way to explore the trade-offs behind a product’s direction.
Why we invited Gibson
We invited Gibson to ground the edition in practical strategic choices. His case-based approach was relevant to our audience’s questions about evaluating opportunities, explaining product priorities and choosing a direction that creates customer value while supporting the business.
What choice makes your product strategy distinctive, and what would you deliberately decline to pursue?

Ravi Mehta
Product leadership educator
The experience behind the invitation
Ravi Mehta helps technology companies develop products, strengthen growth and build effective product teams. His teaching connects product leadership with strategy in the AI era, including how changes in technology affect competitive choices. His perspective links a product’s direction with the capabilities and organisation of the team responsible for it.
Why we invited Ravi
We invited Ravi to connect strategic direction with the leadership needed to act on it as AI changes the product landscape. His expertise was relevant to practitioners considering where AI can create customer value, how their strategy should evolve and what their teams need to deliver effectively.
If AI changes what customers expect, which part of your strategy and team’s capabilities needs to evolve first?

Oyama Nzan
Industry-recognised innovation expert · Digital product expert
The experience behind the invitation
Oyama Nzan is an industry-recognised innovation expert who helps organisations innovate from within and prepare for digital disruption. Drawing on his innovation work at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), he connects emerging technology with practical opportunities to improve products, services and how organisations work.
Why we invited Oyama
We invited Oyama to share his perspective on how advancing AI can accelerate innovation: helping teams explore ideas, test assumptions and develop new solutions more quickly. His contribution added a practical innovation lens to the edition’s strategy and leadership focus, encouraging our audience to consider what becomes possible when more people can turn an idea into a useful product or service.
The invitation also reflected a wider opportunity: AI’s potential to enable thousands of new businesses and jobs across the economy. We wanted our audience to examine the conditions that could make that potential real, including unmet customer needs, viable business models, access to skills and responsible adoption. This was an opportunity to explore possibilities, rather than promise a particular number of businesses or jobs.
If AI makes it faster to turn an idea into a product, which customer problem could you solve—and what business or new role could grow around it?
The line-up connected Gibson’s practical strategic choices, Ravi’s leadership and team effectiveness, and Oyama’s focus on AI-powered innovation. We invited all three experts to help our audience connect a clear product direction with the capability to deliver it—and recognise opportunities for new businesses and work.
