From Strategy to Growth: the August edition
In August 2025, Pinnacle Product Institute welcomed Anand Subramani, Fareed Mosavat, Jenny Wanger and Shaun Clowes to speak with our audience as part of Product Conversations. This edition brought together the perspectives behind a connected product challenge: translating strategic direction into learning, effective execution and lasting customer value.
Why we connected these four perspectives
A strategy can provide direction without explaining what to test next. Experiments can generate findings without influencing decisions. Team processes can support work or obstruct it. Acquisition can attract customers who never find a reason to return. We selected this line-up to represent the connections between these issues, rather than treating growth as an isolated activity.
Anand Subramani — Product strategy and technical foundations
We invited Anand to connect strategic intent with delivery realities. His combination of teaching and product leadership made him relevant to an audience seeking clearer priorities, stronger technical conversations and a more grounded approach to product decisions.
Fareed Mosavat — Experimentation and product-led growth
We invited Fareed to bring an experimentation lens to the edition. His experience made him a relevant voice on how teams choose what to test, assess the quality of their evidence and connect experiments with a coherent growth strategy.
Jenny Wanger — Team collaboration and operating practices
We invited Jenny because product strategy needs an operating environment that supports it. Her perspective connected the discussion with clearer ways of organising work, sharing information and reducing friction between people and teams.
Shaun Clowes — Customer activation, retention and engagement
We invited Shaun to complete the growth picture beyond acquisition. His background made him relevant to an audience looking to understand activation, sustained engagement and the role of retention in building a stronger product business.
Reflection questions for product teams
Is your product direction clear enough to guide a test? Which assumptions most need evidence? Where does your team lose time or context between decisions and delivery? What customer behaviour indicates that the product is delivering continuing value? These are Pinnacle’s editorial reflection prompts, not quotations or a transcript of the speakers’ remarks.
Continuing the series
The August edition continued Product Conversations’ emphasis on practical product questions and complementary industry perspectives. Product Expert Feature introduces the people behind each edition and explains why they were invited. Together, the features and webinar posts help our audience explore the thinking behind the series and follow future conversations.
We thank Anand Subramani, Fareed Mosavat, Jenny Wanger and Shaun Clowes for joining Pinnacle’s audience in August 2025.
